Santos Live Sundays launch concert
Santos Live Sundays are back with free live music at the Kings Park Festival. Kicking off the free launch concert on Sunday, 8 September is 'Stratosfunk' and 'James Morrison and The Motown Experience' with some sixties soul. The Kings Park Festival is turning 50 with many exciting exhibitions and events to celebrate. See our amazing ‘Turf Tattoo’ on the lawn outside Aspects of Kings Park gallery shop and an EH Holden like you’ve never seen it before - in the garden, planted full of WA’s spectacular wildflowers. If you’re a history buff, you’ll love our collection of the Kings Park Festival’s iconic posters from the past 50 years. Boodja Gnarning Family Fun Day
Mark the diaries for Sunday, 15 September - it’s 'Boodja Gnarning Family Fun Day'. Discover traditional Nyoongar culture through a range of fun activities including bush tucker tastings, dance workshops, tool making and family-friendly entertainment. Enjoy the free self-guided 'Boodja Gnarning Walk' and learn the traditional uses of Kings Park’s native plants and their cultural significance. Sing along with local Indigenous artists Ulla Shay and Oz Island live on the main stage as part of the Santos Live Sundays series. Read more…
Walk and talk with the experts
Join the experts for free guided walks and talks this September and learn more about Western Australia’s unique plant life. Wander along the Bushland Nature Trail or through the State Botanic Garden with our Kings Park Volunteer Guides and discover the secrets of native flora and fauna. Learn the tricks of the trade with the Kings Park’s horticultural staff hosting a range of special events such as 'Mild versus Wild', 'The Grass is Always Greener' and 'Walk on the Wild Side'.
