Love local wildlife at Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park

Kanyana WildlifeJoin us for free, fun-filled activities in Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park these April school holidays. Learn about fauna found in our local areas with Kanyana Wildlife on Wednesday, 24 April and Birds Of Prey on Wednesday, 1 May. All sessions are free and held hourly at 9.00 am, 10.00 am and 11.00 am. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. ANZAC Day Dawn Service

State War Memorial precinctThe ANZAC Day Dawn Service is a Kings Park tradition, marking a solemn day of remembrance, gratitude and national pride. The Returned and Services League (RSL) invites you to attend the Dawn Service at 6.00 am on Thursday, 25 April at the State War Memorial. Archival footage will be played on large screens from 4.30 am prior to the service. Fraser Avenue and Wadjuk Way will be closed to traffic from midnight until 9.00 am on this day. Vehicles can enter Kings Park via Saw Avenue or Poole Avenue, however we strongly encourage visitors to use public transport. Attention all teachers

Water Corporation WetlandWA teachers are invited to join Kings Park Education and Ribbons of Blue for a free practical session on wetland and river ecosystems. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, 22 May 2013 from 4.00 pm in the Water Corporation Wetland in Kings Park. Hands-on activities such as water quality testing and invertebrate sampling, classroom lessons with complementary field work, Science and Geography activities and much more will be included. Teaching resources will also be provided, with a focus on sustainability as a new cross curricular priority. Registrations are essential. New artist joins Aspects of Kings Park

Porcelain drop earrings by A.SeymourAspects of Kings Park gallery shop welcomes Abby Seymour-professional bookbinder, printmaker and illustrator from Melbourne. Her works include jewellery, homewares, prints and stationery - all created with water colours, cotton rag papers, soy based inks, Australian porcelain and silver. Kings Park Volunteer Master Gardeners Handy native gardening advice will be on the menu at the next Dig it with Coffee on Wednesday, 1 May. Join the Kings Park Volunteer Master Gardeners and Kings Park horticulturists between 10.00 am and 11.00 am at Zamia Cafe (Synergy Parkland) where you can have all your questions about native and water-wise gardens answered by our experts.
