Plan your visit to Kings ParkPrepare for your visit to Kings Park this summer with regular updates from the website and Facebook pages. Large events and prevailing weather conditions can sometimes cause temporary closures and traffic interruptions. Check the website before you visit for current information on access and events. Park visitors are also welcome to contact or visit the Visitor Information Centre for further information. Please be advised that Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park will be closed on all very high fire danger warnings days, and Australia Day. Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park is closed for the entire month of February 2013 for essential planned maintenance and will reopen on Friday, 1 March. Read more…

Australia Day Skyworks

Australia DayKings Park and Botanic Garden will be closed to all vehicles (except ACROD permit holders and confirmed Fraser’s Restaurant patrons) on Australia Day, Saturday, 26 January 2013 from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm. Pedestrian and cycle access is permitted. A total fire ban will be in place throughout the day. Dogs, sparklers and portable barbecues are prohibited and consumption of alcohol will only be permitted between 6.30 pm and 8.45 pm in the designated areas. Entry is by gold coin donation, with proceeds collected by Friends of Kings Park volunteers and directly allocated to important visitor service projects within the park. Read more…

Held on the first Wednesday of the month between 10.00 am and 11.00 am at Zamia Café, these free sessions include an array of handy gardening tips and are held in the perfect location for a morning coffee.
