2012 Chevron City to Surf for Activ

Chevron City to Surf for Activ. Photo: G. CharlesworthThe annual Chevron City to Surf for Activ will take place on Sunday 26 August. To allow safe passage for competitors in the 12km run, half marathon and full marathon, road closures in Kings Park and Botanic Garden will be in place on Fraser Avenue, Forrest Drive and Lovekin Drive from 4.00 am until 11.00 am. Kings Park Road will be closed from 6.00 am until 12 noon. Poole Avenue, Saw Avenue and Poole Avenue remain open. Read more...

This year's program is a celebration of Western Australian wildflowers, culture and free family fun. Events include wildflower wonder guided walks, live music and theatre with Santos Live Sundays and school activities. UWA Extension will run nature-inspired art classes and hands-on gardening workshops in partnership with the Kings Park Festival. Before the onset of the warmer weather, thoughts may turn to pruning trees that are close to houses.
